About
Creating more beauty in this world has been my lifelong goal. Capturing images has been my pursuit and my passion professionally since 2000. I love the magic that happens when photographing people, especially when they are engaged in something else and forget entirely about my presence. This is when I believe we are all at our most authentic and therefore, our most beautiful, no matter how we "look".
Originally from the San Francisco Bay area, I attended the University of California Santa Barbara and then the University of Colorado at Boulder, where I studied studio art and art history and received my bachelor's degree in Art History. I then went on to do two years of further college-level studies in photography in Denver, Colorado prior to opening my business in 1999.
For nine years, I was the Colorado chapter director for Flashes of Hope (www.flashesofhope.org), a national non-profit dedicated to providing professional photographs to children facing cancer and other life-threatening diseases and to funding childhood cancer research. As chapter director, I organized a number of top local professional photographers and conducted monthly photo shoots at The Children's Hospital of Aurora and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children.
Currently I live in Greenwood Village, Colorado with my husband, three teenage daughters, a dog, a cat, two toads, and one preying mantis. I enjoy all the great outdoor activities here in Colorado, especially hiking, skiing, biking, and masters swimming.
